Who we are:
GHARF is a non-governmental, non-political organization established in 1996 with head office located at South-East Enugu.
GHARF’s activities are carried out under the following thematic areas namely:
- Consultancies
- Peer Education for information dissemination in Schools and Communities
- Gender and Human Rights e.g. HTPs, GBV
- Governance
- Integrated Economic Empowerment and Reproductive Health Programme and right issues
- HIV and AIDS: Prevention including Institution of Family Life and HIV/AIDS Education (FLHE) into School Curriculum, Care and Support of Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC), People Living with HIV and AIDS (PLWHA) and People Affected by AIDS (PABA)
- Research, Need assessment, Documentation and Dissemination
- Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)
- Communicable Disease Prevention and Control e.g. Malaria
Mission
To empower women and adolescents economically and with correct information on sexuality and reproductive health issues and rights through education, research documentation, service provision and income generation activities.
Vision
To see a society where women and adolescents are free from sexuality and reproductive health problems and their rights recognized.
